Sending teachers
Thank you, Father, for sending me teachers. Especially when you teach me from unexpected places, through unlikely faces. Teach me to put away pride or self-importance, and learn from all the teachers in my life, big and small. May I hear your voice whether spoken from faithful friend or stranger. Teach me to listen much more than I speak.
Truly you, Jesus, are our only Rabbi. And whether you speak to us through the tender voices of children or the stretched and worn stories of grandfathers -- we are taught by you and you alone. No one explains to us who you are, because you have come close and live within us, teaching us by your indwelling Spirit. Whatever mouths you use, the prophecy is true that all your children will be taught by you.

soulster,
You commented a long time ago on my website while we had the long conversation over at Harvest Boston. I was wondering if you'd like to talk. My email's still drunkentune[at]gmail[dot]com, so if you're interested, just get in touch sometime. We can debate, or just talk about any issue you want. Anything that furthers atheist-Christian dialogue is good in my book.
Nice blog, by the way.
Sounds like a good idea. I'll be in contact via email. Check out my new blog at http://blog.thetruthtree.com.
